2002 Orlando Jacob's Creek Steingarten Riesling

The vineyard was established in 1962 on steep easterly rocky slopes. Straw colour with delicate straw hue. Restrained nose, showing some minerality with citrus and spice following, creating a degree of austerity. The palate reveals flavours of honey and toast, again with a characteristic ‘Steingarten’ leanness. The acidity is quite crisp, but softening. The wine is in a state of transition and will continue to evolve. Honey lime aftertaste.
