The wine from this vineyard is produced from 6 and 7 year old vines which are on the young side, and it will be some years away before they reach their optimum ability to produce great Pinot. Deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose is restrained at first, but yields aroma of spice, strawberry, dark cherry and anise. The palate has a silky texture which is always a sign of quality in Pinot. Flavours of dark cherry, spice and anise emerge which slowly grow on the palate and form a very spicy back palate sensation. Perfect balance with very long aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and black pepper.
