2002 Mudgee Wines Estate Old Bush Vines Shiraz

Very deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Aroma of vanilla, plum, cinnamon and spice followed by a liquorice endnote. The palate has plenty of weight with a ‘joosy’ quality that is so evident in Shiraz form McLaren Vale and the Barossa. Flavours of liquorice, blackberry and vanilla evolve followed by a spicy black pepper back palate. Excellent tannin balance. Aftertaste of liquorice, spice and vanilla, with the liquorice component being very persistent.
