2002 McWilliams Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Semillon

A classic Hunter Semillon, just waiting to break out and evolve. Bright green gold colour with pale straw hue. Top note of lemon, followed by confectionary, light honey and hay. The acidity forms a stern backbone. And will soften out with age. Flavours of honey, hay and citrus emerge over a confectionary and sherbet background. Long aftertaste, with acidity still driving the wine.
