A wine that seems to keep missing the beat in recent years. Very deep crimson, brick red colour with brick red hue. Aroma of tea leaf, leather and spice followed by stewed fruit. There is a hint of mint that manifests itself on the palate. Dry, persistent tannins. Aftertaste of tea leaf, stewed fruit and earth.

First tasted, February 2005:
The nose is impressive, with strong lifted varietal character. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson brick red hue. Aroma of spice, cedar and blackcurrant.
