Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue, showing impressive cling.  Top notes of vanilla, spice and chocolate are followed by blackberry with end notes of violet and leather.  The palate is much tighter than the nose suggests, with flavours of vanilla, chocolate and plum.  Fine grained tannins.  Aftertaste of vanilla, plum and spice.
Cellar 2-3 years (2007-2008)
Alc/Vol: 13.5%

First tasted, October 2004:
This wine continues to offer consistency and great value for money. Totally opaque black colour, with black purple hue. Lifted nose of violets, blackberry, dark chocolate, spice and ripe plum. Full bodied, mouth filling palate, with impressive weight and length. Flavours of spice, plum and liquorice overlaid with vanilla. Warm, spicy back palate. The wine will continue to evolve over the next few years adding more complexity to its palate structure. Fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of spice, plum and liquorice.
