This wine has been made by former Seppelt Chief winemaker Ian McKenzie. Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep black crimson hue. The nose has good lift, with aroma of vanilla, liquorice strap, blackberry and toasted oak. The palate flavour profile does not carry the expected depth of flavour that the Great Western district normally delvers, which would have resulted in a higher rating. Flavours of vanilla, confectionary and spice. Aftertaste of spice, black pepper, vanilla and liquorice.
Cellar 2-3 years (2007-2008)
Alc/Vol: 14.0%
