Notes sourced from Enoteca Sileno

Grape variety: 100% Gewurztraminer
Region: Hillside vineyards in the finest sites of Tramin in the north eastern region of Alto Adige.
Production: The grapes are delicately pressed before cold maceration on the skins for approximately 6 hours. After clarification via natural methods, fermentation takes place at a constant temperature of 28ºC. Finally the wine is matured for 6 months partly in stainless steel and partly in large oak casks.
Characteristics: Bright straw yellow with a concentrated aromatic character reminiscent of smoked spices, dried flowers and rose petals which develops and intensifies in the glass. The palate is full, firm, fresh and lively. Cellaring for a year would further allow this wine to develop to its potential.
Serve: 12ºC
Try With: As an aperitif, with shellfish, goose liver pate, oysters and Gorgonzola cheese.
