2002 Houghton Crofters Cabernet Merlot

Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. The nose delivers a pronounced varietal sniff with liquorice, blackcurrant and violet aromas. The palate structure is tight. Dry, firm and chalky tannins dominate the palate and aftertaste, overwhelming the fruit flavour and persisting well into the aftertaste.
