2002 Hope Estate Semillon

This is typical of a young Hunter Semillon, lean and hard. Bright pale straw colour. Subtle nose, with aroma of cut hay, followed by faint honey notes. The palate is short, with very high acidity, green hard unripe green apple flavours emerge, with high acidity persisting. Time may be more generous than this review.
Cellar 1-2 years (2003-2004).
