2002 Gemtree Vineyards Obsidian Shiraz

This is the Flagship wine from Gemtree, with only 350 dozen produced from the very best grapes grown on the Tatachilla Road Vineyard. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Superb nose of violets and spice followed by nuances of vanilla and confectionary. The palate does not disappoint delivering mouth filling flavours showing strong black and white pepper followed by a layer of liquorice allsorts, vanilla and confectionary. Outstanding length and persistence followed by a long black pepper aftertaste.
