2002 Forest Hill Vineyard Cabernet Merlot

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of blackcurrant and cedar followed by spice with a liquorice endnote. On the palate, flavours of blackcurrant and plum are evident with spice and cedar on the back palate. Fine grained, soft tannins. Blackcurrant aftertaste.

First tasted, January 2004:
Magnificent deep crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. The nose is impressive with lifted notes of mulberry, spice, blackcurrant and liquorice allsorts. The palate is quite dry with the tannins being a touch too dominant. Flavours of stewed fruit and cedar emerge which also run through to the aftertaste.
