The St. Jakobi Shiraz has been a consistently impressive wine over the last few years. Matured in French and American oak for 24 months. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of liquorice, plum, vanilla, cedar and spice. The palate is full bodied and loaded with generous Barossa flavours. Liquorice, mocha and dark chocolate characteristics are overlaid by a strong black pepper back palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of mocha, liquorice, black pepper and dark chocolate.

Robert Parker's Review
Fashioned from a 30-year-old vineyard, the dense ruby/purple-colored 2002 Shiraz St. Jakobi was aged 24 months in both new and old French and American foudres. Layered and full-bodied, with notes of espresso roast, creosote, blackberries, currants, licorice, and pepper, this rich, full-throttle, classic Barossa Shiraz can be consumed now and over the next 10-12 years.
