Excellent white pink tinged frothy mousse with salmon pink base wine colour. Exceptionally fine bead showing excellent persistence. The nose offers up intense notes of winter strawberries and subtle raspberries intermixed with yeast lees and a light toastiness. Delicately poised the palate has an elegant flavour profile of winter strawberries, raspberries, toasty characters and yeast lees. Clean dry finish with very good acid structure. Long delicate aftertaste of winter strawberries and toasty yeast lees.

Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 12.5%

Other Reviews….
Unfortunately there is only one new release from Dom Perignon on the market, but what a wine it is! The 2002 Brut Rose explodes from the glass with endless layers of huge, voluptuous fruit, A big, full-bodied wine, the 2002 is probably the most overly vinous, intense Rose ever made by long-time Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. Layers of cool, insistent minerality balance the fruit beautifully on the crystalline, vivid finish. The 2002 will be nearly impossible to resist young, but take my word for it; the wine is extremely closed right now.
Anticipated maturity: 2015-2032.
