2002 Del Rios Marsanne

An outstanding example of Marsanne, with an explosion of aroma and flavour. Brilliant brassy gold colour with straw hue, showing some oxidative handling of juice. The nose is intense, filled with the aroma of honeycomb, honeysuckle and spice. BIG mouth filling palate with the body weight and concentration of flavour to satisfy a red wine drinker. Very spicy, with strong flavours of honeysuckle and honeycomb over laid by biscuit and lemons. Clean acid finish, with exceptionally long aftertaste of honeysuckle, pear, honeycomb and quince. A powerful expression of Marsanne.
