Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose is impressive, showing excellent lift. Notes of plum, violets, raspberry and liquorice emerge. The palate reveals quite a pronounced raspberry flavour followed by liquorice allsorts and just a hint of coffee. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, raspberry and black pepper.

The 2002 D’Arry’s Original Shiraz/Grenache, a 50-50 blend of each, reveals classic raspberry and kirsch liqueur aromas intermixed with touches of black fruits, pepper, and licorice. This plump, chunky, hedonistic red will have many fans if consumed over the next 2-3 years.
