Adam Marks is one of Australia’s talented young winemakers with a flair to be different and a motto that we greatly admire – "Mediocrity has no friends". Although it doesn’t appear in his literature it is a philosophy which he lives by, as witnessed by his departure from large corporate winemaking, in order to pursue his own goals. The colour is pale to water like. The nose is impressive and immediately reminiscent of the wines of Graves. Lifted aroma, quite seamless without any dominant single note, yet lifted and aromatic. Mouth filling palate with flavours of yeast lees and subtle oak followed by strong, yet integrated grassy herbaceous flavours with aniseed back palate over a very creamy textured background. Dry perfect balance, followed by a long aniseed, grassy aftertaste. An excellent food wine. color>
