Winemaker ADAM MARKS [pictured right] is an intense fellow whose motto we thoroughly endorse: "Mediocrity has no friends." However, whilst Adam is busy pursuing excellence, the French have decided to issue legal proceedings against the Bress label, claiming that it is plagery of their Bress chickens! An excellent Chardonnay. Deep straw colour, with delicate green tinge. Aroma of peach, melon and spice, followed by hazelnut and yeast lees, showing distinguished varietal character. The palate has both weight and complexity. Flavours of toasted oak, yeast lees and hazelnut, followed by hints of citrus and spice - a mouthfilling flavour profile! Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of citrus, hazelnut, melon and yeast lees.
