2002 Bellarine Estate Phil's Fetish Pinot Noir

This is an outstanding example of Pinot Noir and further consolidates Geelong as a top Pinot Noir district. The colour is impressive – deep crimson with mauve hue. The nose shows strong varietal character, with lifted notes of violets, cherry and spice followed by a strawberry concentrate. On the palate layers of stalk are meshed with toasted oak and strawberry with a hint of earth and anise on the back palate. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance followed by a strong cherry spice and earth aftertaste.
