2001 Zema Estate Merlot

The Merlot is sourced from the Cluny Vineyard in Coonawarra. Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose with notes of violets, mulberry and spice. On the palate flavours of mulberry, spice and blackcurrant emerge. Fine dry tannins. Mulberry and spice aftertaste.

Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Subtle nose with notes of mulberry, spice and chocolate emerging. The palate has good flavour but it is difficult to find the varietal character of Merlot evident. Stewed fruit, plum and spice flavours emerge. Fine firmish tannins. Stewed fruit aftertaste.
