2001 Zema Estate Coonawarra Shiraz

An excellent example of Coonawarra Shiraz which has been matured in French and American oak for 16 months. Opaque black crimson colour with mauve hue. The nose is delightful, with perfumed aroma of earth, plum, spice and vanilla. On the palate, flavours of ripe plum and spice emerge, followed by a hint of dark chocolate, liquorice, earth and vanilla oak. Excellent length followed by the fine grained tannins and a long aftertaste of spice, plum, earth and blackpepper.
