2001 Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier

Yalumba are the Australian masters of this varietal.
Bright deep straw colour. Superb nose with very distinct Viognier aroma. Notes of exotic tropical fruit, spice, pawpaw and mango over ripe apricots. The palate is generous with considerable body weight and whilst being broad, also has a touch of oiliness. Mouthfilling flavour of anise, exotic tropical fruit and very ripe apricot, which persists long into the soft acid finish.
