2001 Wirra Wirra Scrubby Rise Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Verdot

A well made early drinking red. Deep crimson colour with mauve crimson hue. Aroma of blackcurrant and spice followed by a hint of vanilla. The youthful nature of the wine is reflected on the palate, with inky young Shiraz characteristics over plum and pepper background flavour. The palate has good weight, moderate length, followed by soft tannins and an aftertaste of ink, spice and plum.
