2001 Willow Bridge Estate Merlot

Grown at Willow Bridge’s Hutton Valley and Gerguson Valley vineyard, matured for 12 months in French and American oak. Bright brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. Aroma of stewed fruit and leather followed by end notes of spice and cocoa. On the palate, flavours of stewed fruit and white pepper emerge over an old leather and plum background. Moderate length, fine grained tannins with a slightly ‘weedy’ spice and leather aftertaste.
