Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Aroma of liquorice, black pepper, vanilla and cedar – providing an excellent sniffing experience. The palate has very good varietal character, with flavours of spice, white pepper, plum, ripe raspberries and liquorice emerging. Fine grained tannins in excellent balance. Very long aftertaste of white pepper, plum, liquorice and vanilla.

First tasted, November 2003:
A relatively tight Shiraz that will develop well over the next few years. Opaque black purple colour with excellent glass cling. Lifted nose with mocca top note, followed by liquorice, spice, plum and earth notes. The palate is tightly knit with flavours of stewed plum and mocca emerging. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of liquorice, mocca and spice.
