2001 Tallarook Marsanne

A Marsanne with excellent body weight and depth of flavour. The grapes for this wine have been whole bunch pressed, barrel fermented with partial malolactic fermentation and maturation on yeast lees. Bright straw colour. The nose is quite intense with notes of yeast lees, spicy oak and subtle honey toast notes. Generous, mouthfilling palate with creamy texture. Flavours of honey toast, nut, yeast lees and aniseed followed by a very spicy backpalate. Excellent weight and acidity, followed by a very long aftertaste of toast, spice and nut.
