This is the flagship of Heritage Wines. Rossco’s Shiraz is grown by Steve’s neighbour Ross Kalleske at Greenock in the Barossa Valley. The vines are over 70 years old and very low yielding (approx 2 tonnes per acre) producing veryconcentrated fruit. The Rossco’s Shiraz is only produced in vintages of exceptional quality and only the best 20 barriques are then selected for Rossco’s Shiraz with the remaining barriques blended into the standard shiraz. The grapes are fermented in open fermenters & the finished wine is then matured for 12 months in one & two year old American oak barriques.

Tasting Notes: Totally black purple colour. Superb lifted nose with perfume like aroma of vanilla, spice and blackberry. The palate is mouth filling, with excellent weight and depth. The palate flavours are totally concentrated, withblackpepper, blackberry, vanilla and plum dominant. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance followed by a very long aftertaste of blackpepper, confectionary, vanilla, plum and spice.A superb example of Barossa Shiraz, and like the rest of the Steve Hoff collection it represents exceptional value.color>
