2001 St Marys House Block Cabernet Sauvignon

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson brick red hue. Aroma of mocha, blackcurrant and dark chocolate. The palate reveals flavours of mocha, dark chocolate, followed by liquorice, spice and black pepper. Fine, dusty dry tannins, with very spicy back palate. Aftertaste of mocha, dark chocolate and tea leaf.

Opaque black crimson colour with purple hue. Perfumed aroma of violets, liquorice, cedar and blackcurrant showing strong varietal character. The palate is quite concentrated with layers of dark chocolate, plum and vanilla evident. Excellent length. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance followed by a long spice blackberry plum aftertaste.
