2001 Salitage Chardonnay

An impressive Chardonnay. Bright pale gold colour showing a combination of bottle age and some oxidative handling. Aroma of biscuit, cashew, yeast lees followed by hazelnut and almond end notes. The palate is full bodied with a creamy texture. Flavours of yeast lees, cashew and biscuit. Very good length with flavours of tropical fruit, mango evident. Soft acid finish with aftertaste of melon, fig, cashew, yeast lees and spice.
