2001 Rosemount Estate Shiraz

A bright blood plum/purple colour with excellent clarity. The lifted, vibrant nose is packed with ripe fruit and showing clear varietal character. A lightly peppery aroma of blood plum and red cherry is highlighted by chocolate and spice and supported by subtle sweet, charry oak. The palate is also clearly varietal with the focused dark berry fruit and spice characteristic of the Shiraz grape. Ripe blackberry and cassis flavours are encased by soft spice with fine-grained tannins and careful oak treatment ensuring the traditional Rosemount long, richly textured finish.
