The nose is Classic Alsatian Gewurtztraminer. Bright pale gold colour. The nose is intense, with strong aroma of ripe lychee, loquots and spice. The palate displays very good weight and mouthfeel, but lacks the concentration of flavour that was evident in the 2000. Flavours of lychee, spice and green tea emerge. The back palate displays a hint of coarseness. Clean acid finish, followed by a long spice and lychee aftertaste.
