2001 Pelorus Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut

A superb example of New Zealand sparkling. Excellent creamy white mousse, with very fine, very persistent bead. Straw coloured base wine. Delightful nose, with biscuit and yeast lees top note, followed by a hint of toast. The palate has good weight, with creamy mouthfeel. Subtle flavours of citrus, yeast lees and biscuit emerge. Clean acid finish. A refined style. Long aftertaste of citrus and yeast lees.
