2001 Nautilus Pinot Noir

Marlborough,
$37. 99

$455.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

Considerable effort has been made to create a Pinot with complexity. Seven different clones were used from 6 sites located around the Marlborough district. The grapes were ‘cold soaked’ for 8 days which ensured maximum colour extraction from the skins and subsequently matured in French oak barriques.

Very deep crimson colour with mauve hue. The nose is perfumed with notes of spice and strawberry jam followed by a hint of violet. The palate has excellent weight but a moderate power wave. Fine grained, perfectly balanced tannins. Very long aftertaste of spice, toasted oak and truffle.
