A commercial wine. Bright crimson mauve colour. Medium body. Simple aroma of stewed fruit, over plum and spice. The palate displays flavours of stewed fruit over a spice and inky background. Firmish, but balanced tannins, followed by an aftertaste of sour cherry, plum and stewed fruit.

Retasted 22/12/2002: This wine displays inky young wine characteristics. Bright, crimson mauve colour, medium body. The nose reveals aromas of stewed fruit and ink, followed by raspberry spice end notes. The palate flavours are very inky, with spice and black pepper back palate flavours emerging. Soft tannins, followed by a spice, stewed fruit aftertaste.
