2001 Mornington Estate Pinot Noir
A well made commercial style, with good varietal character. Translucent crimson colour. Aroma of cherry and spice with a hint of toasted oak. On the palate flavours of spice, California poppy and strawberry emerge. Fine dry tannins, relatively soft, followed by a cherry spice aftertaste.

This wine was made by Garry Crittenden and Judy Gifford Watson. Translucent crimson colour, with mauve hue. Light body weight. Aroma of cherry, spice and toasted oak, followed by a hint of stalk and stewed plum. The palate displays moderate length, with flavours of stewed plum and sour cherry emerging, with a touch of stalk on the back palate. Soft tannin structure. Cherry spice aftertaste. A light red with subtle varietal flavour.
