2001 Miranda Mirrool Creek Merlot

This is a very well made commercial wine. Medium body, crimson mauve colour. The nose displays a distinct chocolate and cinnamon top note, over a mulberry background. On the palate, flavours of stewed fruit, mulberry, cinnamon and spice, with impressive length. Soft tannins, followed by a stewed fruit, cherry aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years. (2003 – 2004)
