2001 Michael Unwin Wines Acrobat Chardonnay

Produced from 5 rows of 30 year old Chardonnay vines. The wine has considerable tertiary character, having lost much of its primary fruit. Bright pale gold colour with straw hue – the colour is showing its age well. Notes of biscuit, yeast lees and cashew emerge, followed by a hazelnut endnote. The palate fruit is beginning to dry out, with flavours of honey, cashew and lees emerging. Soft acid finish. Aftertaste of honey, biscuit and cashew.
