Retasted 01/12/2010: Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose is a little reserved with aromas of blackberry, liquorice and spice emerging with an earthy leather like overlay. Full bodied and quite joosy, the palate displays generous flavours of blackberry, plum and liquorice with a spicy back palate and a meaty earth like overlay. Velvet smooth tannins with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, spice and earth.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Tasted 04/02/2004: A superb expression of McLaren Vale Shiraz. Very deep crimson colour with black crimson hue. Superb nose with violet, plum top note followed by spice and vanilla. The palate is mouthfilling with flavours of plum, dark chocolate, liquorice, vanilla and confectionary. Excellent palate weight with fine grained tannins. Perfect balance with very long aftertaste of dark chocolate, dark cherry, vanilla and spice.
