This is a magnificent tightly structured wine which was awarded the Stodart Trophy in Brisbane 2002. Totally opaque colour with black purple hue. Big liquorice and cassis top notes followed by blackcurrant, spice and cedar. The nose is clearly Cabernet, and very sophisticated Cabernet at that! The firm palate structure will keep this wine together for years and has also the weight and depth of fruit flavour to support it. Flavours of cassis, liquorice, cedar and spice are beautifully balanced against each other and enhanced by the tannins. Perfect balance with very long blackcurrant aftertaste.
Cellar 8-10 years (2011-2013)
Alc/Vol: 14.0%

RATING: 95/100

VALUE: XXXXX/5

Other Reviews…..
Spotlessly clean, perfectly articulated cassis and blackcurrant fruit; long palate with pure fruit, the oak merely in support, as are tannins. RATING 95 DRINK 2016 $33
