2001 Leconfield Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

At long last, this wine returns to form. Opaque deep crimson colour. Aroma of blackcurrant, cedar, cigar box, spice and just a hint of liquorice. The palate flavours are impressive. Gone are the herbaceous green characteristics of the last couple of vintages. Flavours of blackcurrant, cedar, violet infusions, spice and ripe plums emerge. Excellent length and depth. Fine grained dry tannins, perfectly balanced with very long aftertaste of blackcurrant, plum and spice with just a hint of mint.
