2001 Lamonts Shiraz

85% of the Shiraz grapes were grown in the Swan Valley and 15% from Donnybrook with the wine being aged for 2 years in French and American oak. Black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Aroma of stewed plum, blackberry, violets and liquorice. The palate is generous with big joosy plum and blackberry flavours followed by black pepper, vanilla and cedar. Excellent weight and length. Very long aftertaste of blackberry, black pepper and plum. Fine grained dry tannins.
