This wine is developing well. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon the wine was matured for 24 months in predominantly French oak barriques, 45% of which were new with a small proportion of American oak used. Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose is impressive, expressing its developed character. Top notes of cedar, followed by violets, blackcurrant and spice with a subtle touch of old leather. The palate is holding together well, with fine grained tannins. Flavours of cedar, stewed plum, blackcurrant, anise and leather abound. Very long aftertaste of earth, spice, cedar, leather and blackcurrant.
