An impressive red. Totally opaque black purple mauve colour. Superb lifted nose of spice, blackpepper and plum followed by aniseed end note and just a hint of earth. Mouthfilling palate flavours dominated by plum, blackberry and spice within a liquorice background. Fine firmish yet dry tannins – excellent weight, followed by very long peppery plum aftertaste with the dry tannins persisting.
