2001 John's Blend Margarete's No. 7 Shiraz

Winemaker John Glaetzer has used 60% Shiraz from Langhorne Creek and 40% from McLaren Vale for this wine and matured in American Oak. Aroma of ripe plum and stewed fruit, followed by spice, vanilla, chocolate and violets. On the palate flavours of spice and plum emerge, followed by vanilla and plum. Fine grained dry tannins. Aftertaste of vanilla, plum, spice and chocolate, with dry tannins persisting.
