2001 Howard Park Leston Shiraz

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of stewed plum, spice, cedar and liquorice followed by a hint of violet. The palate reveals flavours of stewed plum, liquorice and mocca. Fine dry firmish tannins followed by an aftertaste of mocca, liquorice and spice.

A youthful Shiraz that will need some time to fill out. Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques. Very deep crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Medium body. Aroma of plum, spice and liquorice allsorts. The palate flavours are youthful with liquorice, plum and spice characteristics emerging followed by a hint of vanilla and ink. Fine grained tannins, however still relatively firm. Long aftertaste of inky plum, spice and liquorice.
