2001 Glaetzer Shiraz

This wine was made from 80 year old dry grown vines from the Ebenezer Vineyard. Opaque crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Aroma of violets, mocha and dark chocolate, producing an excellent sniff. The palate shows excellent balance with flavours of violet infusions, spice, plum and vanilla followed by a hint of liquorice. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spice, plum, liquorice, with black and white pepper characteristics kicking in.
