Bright red colour with brick red hue.  Medium body.  Aroma of stewed fruit, followed by a hint of cedar and leather.  The palate has good weight, with flavours of spice and stewed fruit to the fore, followed by a white pepper back palate.  Fine dry tannins.  Aftertaste of mocha and stewed fruit.
Cellar 2-3 years (2007-2008)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%

First tasted, April 2004:
Crimson brick red colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Perfumed nose, with a hint of spice, new leather, strawberry, ripe plum and liquorice. The Sangiovese component expresses itself with its firm, fine and dry tannins which tend to linger. Hints of confectionary, stewed fruit and sour cherry emerge on the palate and linger into the aftertaste with fine dry tannins persisting.
RATING: 83/100
