2001 Gemtree Vineyards Paragon Shiraz

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose is impressive, with lifted notes of vanilla, spice, blackpepper, ripe plum and confectionary. Flavours of ripe plum and liquorice emerge over a stewed fruit and dark chocolate background. The aftertaste has a tarry quality, with mocha, dark chocolate and liquorice also evident.
