2001 Elderton Merlot

Very deep brick red colour with deep brick red hue. Aroma of stewed plum and spice, followed by cedar and leather, showing early developed character, and a hint of confectionary emerging as an end note. Full bodied palate, with flavours of chocolate, mulberry jam, spice and ripe plum. Velvet tannins, with impressive length. Aftertaste of chocolate, plum, mulberry and spice.
