2001 Domaine de la Vougeraie Terres De Famille Pinot Noir

Deep crimson colour and deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose with notes of spice and strawberry emerging with the spiciness being quite pronounced. The palate flavour profile is very light with fruit fading very quickly – this is the kind of disappointment that turns pinot noir followers into beer drinkers. The tannins are very firm, dry and totally overwhelm whatever fruit is to be found.
